Cannot run non-Qt console application

I'm trying to run a simple non-Qt console application (the same works with older version of Qt Creator) and I get this error:

This appears in Application Output when "Run in terminal" is enabled:
Starting C:\Users\MyUser\Documents\Qt Projects\someapp-build-desktop\debug\someapp.exe...
Cannot change to working directory 'C:/Users/MyUser/Documents/Qt Projects/someapp-build-desktop': The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

The app runs for a second and then disappears.
