%{CurrentProject:Path} gives the project file path instead of the project file's folder path

The External tools tab allows to launch an external tool and choose among various variables:
According to my understanding, %

should gives the parent folder of the project file but gives the same result as %

Trying to start the external tool "/bin/pwd" with the current working directory set to %

gives my home directory.
