The rewrap paragraph feature does not preserve the cursor position.

Example:

Pretend this is a | really long line of text
^ and the cursor is here

after wrapping:

Pretend this is a really
long line of text

^ cursor is now here

Suggestion:

Pretend this is a |really
^preserve cursor position relative to the text
long line of text
