In the editor, I am able to use block, or column selection by selecting an arbitrary square of text with my mouse while holding down the option key. In other Mac OSX editors I am also able to edit text in blocks. This would mean having my typed in text entered on each line that I have selected (see TextMate, for example). In QT Creator, however, entering text results in exiting column mode. It would be very useful to have this feature.
