Source control interactions via menu should be threaded

    Description

      Currently things like Tools->Git->Blame and Tools->Subversion->Blame are single threaded, and block the UI while doing stuff, which can be annoying if it's a big change or the remote server is slow.

      It would be nice if this could be made asynchronous.
