      Description

Have tested this issue on both QtCreator 2.4.1 (from the SDK) and 2.5.2 (standalone).

I'm trying to get "smart tab" behavior from QtCreator with the following settings (in Tools > Options > C++ > Edit > General):

      Tab policy: Tabs Only
      Tab size: 3
      Indent size: 3
      Align continuation lines: With spaces

I have attached a screenshot of the preview of Tools > Options > C++ > Edit > Alignment, illustrating exactly how smart tabs should look. However, when I actually write exactly the code shown in the preview, it uses tabs for alignment. This file is also attached.

What I want is exactly what is shown in the preview... I'm just not getting it.
