Non ASCII git user name

      Git user names with Umlauts are not handled correctly.

      I have my name in the UTF8 encoded .gitconfig:
      [user]
      name = Peter Kümmel

      but when I commit with QtCreator the last name shows up as "Kümmel" (in QtCreators's dialog and in the git history)
