It would be nice to be able to run a custom executable from the path specified for the Kit. For example one may have custom tools similar to qmlviewer that depend on the Qt configuration and target. The custom tools are part of a custom Qt library and they are installed in that specific Qt.

For easy usage of these tools from Qt Creator it would be nice if Qt Creator would search for the executable in the Kit specified for the project also. Since the user has to configure Kit for his project anyway it’s not desired that they would need to specify full path to the Custom Executable (in Command field in Run configuration for the Custom Executable).
