There should be an option to make the Files in the "Projects"-view open with single click instead of double click.
I usually prefer using that view instead of the "Open Documents"-view, because the files have a constant order, while the entries in the Open Documents view change their positions after I open or close a file, making it very difficult for me to quickly switch between files (because I always have to rememorize their order :/ )
