Existing project with android files will not have ant build files generated

Create a project and configure for Android.

Add files to a revision system, including android files except the non-portable files like local.properties.

If you open this project in a different location, the local.properties will not be regenerated.

local.properties contains paths from the local file system, so it can't be part of the committed project.
