using the new diff tool requires too much excise

The new diff tool is awesome since context is often very helpful. Unfortunately I doubt I'll use it much since it's a pain to activate. Right now you have to manually select both files. It would be helpful if when activated the default 1st file would be the one you are currently viewing in a project. That way you can effectively use the search field at the lower left to find the file instead of browsing to it which can be a pain.

It would also be nice if the SVN Diff command could be made to work in the same way if desired. Aka in some cases it is nice to see changes in line, while in other cases it is nice to be able to see changes side-by-side.
