Disable Cmd+Mouse Wheel to change font size

I have a Apple Magic Mouse which supports both vertical and horizontal wheel events even though no physical wheel is present. While using QtCreator I very frequently inadventarntly change the font size by several sizes by when holding down Cmd and moving the mouse in order to click on somehting. It would be really nice to get rid of or disable the Cmd+Horizontal Mouse wheel > change font size feature. I would be more than happy with just Cmd+ +/ the way most browsers work for changing font sizes.
