      Qt Creator 2.7.82 (2.8.0-beta)
Based on Qt 4.8.4 (GCC 4.6.1, 64 bit)

      QMake version 2.01a
Using Qt version 4.8.4 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

      GNU gdb (GDB) 7.5.91.20130417-cvs-ubuntu

When debugging with steps (F10 or F11), the debugger of "QT Creator 2.8.0-beta" hangs most of the times. Usually QtCreator then pops up a message informing gdb is not responding and has timed out. At this stage top shows gdb running at 100% of a cpu core. If I abort debugging or quit QtCreator, some times QtCreator itself gets hanged and also takes 100% cpu. Often the process needs to be killed.

Debugging the same application directly from command line gdb works fine.

This is similar to QTCREATORBUG-3089 and QTCREATORBUG-9031, but observed on Ubuntu Linux.
