Issue when closing split editor

      1. don't have documents open
      2. split
      3. open one document in split #1
      4. open a second document in split #2
      5. open the second document in split #1
      6. close the second document in split #1

      Expected: split #2 switches to <no document>, or if not, opens an editor for the selected document

      Actual: split #2 shows no editor, but the combobox is not on <no document>
