If the first row for a model has not fully loaded when it determines the column width data it can end up with a contentWidth which is much bigger than needed. In some cases it will just need to make an estimate based on what it knows, but if there is a columnWidthProvider available then it should use that as much as possible to determine how much space is really needed.
