There are 8-9 pages in the installation flow from the information architecture point of view. Are there any pages, in which the information could be combined to reduce the number of pages.
- Welcome - very value in terms of information, but currently needed for the backend pre-requisites check
- Qt Account login - required
- Open source obligations - must be shown and explicitly accepted before the installation
- Retrieve meta data - meta-data needs to be downloaded, we need something more than a progress bar to "entertain" the user
- Telemetry acceptance - we need to ask the user to enable/disable telemetry
- Component view - the most important view
- License acceptance - we still want to accept licenses during the installation
- Installation
- Launch Qt Creator and close
There are quite many phases from the user point of view. Can any of these combined? Could we for example start directly from the login and show the welcome page backend data in that page?
