Qt unified windows x86 4.0.1.1 online installer fails to run on new Win 10 Pro x64

    Description

      Qt univeral installer 4.0.1.1 fails to run on Win 10 Pro X64. It fails with error - unable to find MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll. Search of the internet reveals these are related to no installation of MS Visual C redistributables. See here The latest supported Visual C++ downloads (microsoft.com). If I install the x64 version, the installer still fails to run. If I install the x86 version, the install then runs. 

      Discussions with others suggests these missing packages should have been identified and installed by the installer.
