Description
What is the benefit? Why is this valuable?
Qt Installer Framework (IFW) supports Qt Widgets to create the installer UI. In addition to widgets, we can offer IFW users to pick up QML to create the user interfaces. Widgets will be still supported to keep existing UIs working.
What are common use cases?
Create a modern, fluid user experience in the installer UI
Add easily animated wizard page changes
Technical information
Support QML to create pages in the installer wizard. Currently, the QWizard is used, in the QML UI, StackedView or a custom view could be used. IFW users could add any QML items into the wizard pages and implement the animations and effects of page and content changes.
