    Description

Code signing is now a strict requirement for running ARM binaries on macOS:

      https://developer.apple.com/documentation/macos-release-notes/macos-big-sur-11_0_1-universal-apps-release-notes

This affects maintenance tools from offline installers, which we currently cannot sign, and unsigned locally generated installers (like from the examples folder). Forcing launch with Rosetta or signing the binaries locally removes the crash.

      Attached crash report.
