Technical information
As IFW 4.7.0 will be built with Qt 6.6.0, we drop support for some older Linux distributions. This causes an issue with the Qt online installer and maintenance tool, which will force installation and update of the maintenance tool components, which will be incompatible with older systems.
Workaround is to disable the maintenance tool repo, but this is quite unintuitive as it must be done each time the MT is started, and the user would have to know the workaround. It cannot be also done from the CLI, possibly forcing non-interactive users like CI to update the component to incompatible version.
The incompatibility break is mainly from the newer glibc version installer is linked against. We could study if it would be possible to check the system's glibc version in an installation script, and disable updating the maintenance tool component in case it is not compatible.
