      The Maintenance Tool application offers to install Qt Creator 12 in macOS 15 (Catalina) without checking the platform.

      The user, anyway, distrusting the Maintenance Tool, checks in the online documentation and sees this page: https://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-desktop-platforms.html#macos

      macOS 10.15 or later is supported with the Xcode tools for your macOS version available in the Mac App Store.

       

      So, the user lets the Maintenance Tool remove the old Qt Creator 11 version and install the new, with this result:

       

      You can't use this version of the application "Qt Creator.app" with this version of macOS. You have macOS 10.15.7. The application requires macOS 11.0 or later.
