Installer locks up with screen artifacts on Linux

    Description

      Qt SDK 1.1.3 installed, updated to the latest release. Upon wanting to add/inspect additional packages, the window gets resized ( QTIFW-47 ? ) and various rendering artifacts appear (see attachment). There is no CPU load after this, but after a while the desktop dies (likely runs out of memory). At first I thought it was a fluke, but I encountered the exact same symptoms on an unrelated machine, so it seems to be reproducible.
