SDKMaintenanceTool Settings page: Creating repositories is confusing

When you launch SDKMaintenanceTool and click the Settings button and then go to the new Repository tab, the interface for adding repos is very non-intuitive. The obvious thing to do is to paste the URL into the edit text field that comes up, which won't work – the editable field that pops up is for a username. The username should not be the first field to be edited; that is an optional field and will probably not be needed very often.

Ideally a separate dialog box should come up for the user to enter the repository URL and username/password information.
