Description
The Qt online installer (and the maintenance tool) hangs when loading metadata information:
"Retrieving meta information from remote repository..."
Usually at 99% - sometimes at an earlier percentage.
It happens on all operating systems. Waiting for an hour does not help. A new Qt account does not help. Updating from another Unix account dos not help. Using mobile network instead of landline does not help.
It always worked fine, up until I tried to update to QtCreator 4.3
When I disabled almost all repositories, then I was able to update QtCreator 4.3.
Now I tried to install to Qt 5.9rc2 - no luck. I removed all of Qt. So now I can only use the offline installer anymore.
