Convert custom builds to Qt/MSBuild on Addin v2.2.0 with VS2017 crashes/hangs the IDE

The button to convert custom builds to Qt/MSBuild on VS2017 (15.5.7), is there a limit to how long it will take. I used that to convert my project and left it for a little more than 2 hours and VS was not responding.

I tried several times and the result was all the same. I even get thethe following message, where VS asks to disable Qt Addin to improve performance.
