Originally, this has been observed in Calibre, here is the bug report made there and we were told this is not something Calibre can fix because it is a problem with QTWebEngine.

      Summary

When a window with QTWebEngine is spawned and minimized, IF you switch the user on Windows and return back to the program, the window hangs. Screenshot also attached:

This is reproducible. It has been observed on version 8.7 of calibre on Windows 10 x64.

      1. Run calibre. (to open the library view)
      2. Open a book (so the viewer spawns [it uses QTWebEngine to render]
      3. Keep viewer window open or minimize it.
      4. Switch user on Windows to another user.
      5. Return back to original user.
      6. Restore/look at viewer window. It is now frozen/hangs.
      7. It must be killed to work again.
