    Description

      A brief user story.

I wanted to check a property for QML button. My project is using 6.5.x

I google "qml button".  The qml page for 5.15 shows up first, and the page for qml for button Controls shows up second (6.2.13). I'm looking for Button QML Type 6.5 LTS.

I drop into 5.15, since that's at least the right page, hoping to just select a different version.
      NO 6.5.

Back out to Google and try the 6.2.13 Controls page.
From there I search for Button in the search bar. (Or just click Button since the Controls page lists it... didn't read the page enough!). This brings me to the page for QML Button 6.2 LTS.
I click on the version pulldown again.
      NOT HERE EITHER.

At this point, I notice that the URL is for qt-6.2, so I chop off the .2, expecting to be taken somewhere nice.

I get taken to the 6.7 version of the page. That's fine, because 6.5 LTS should be in the dropdown now, right?
      NOPE!

So feel like I'm going crazy now. I directly enter qt-6.5 in the URL, which brings me to the page I want! And finally 6.5 LTS appears in the pulldown.

Thinking hey, that was crazy. I have to type in the version just to get to our most recent LTS?! I decided to try again with just qt-6 in the URL.

AND NOW 6.5 LTS is showing up. SAME PAGE (6.7), NEW DROPDOWN.

This was just too crazy not to rant about.
      Finally, actual requests:

      • Make sure the pulldown is decoupled from versions. I should always see the same options no matter what version I'm currently on.
      • SEO. Our latest LTS (6.5) should be at the top of the results.
        • Not a huge issue if we can at least select the version we're looking for in the pulldown, but why would users want to switch to Qt6 if Qt5 is still showing up at the top of the search engine?
