On Linux the branch selection is not shown when entering doc page on Linux

When entering the new documentation page, the branch selection is not visible on the left toolbar on Linux. On Firefox the scroll bar becomes visible only when one hovers mouse cursor over the toolbar.  With Chrome the scroll bar is visible all the time, but the branch selection is not shown before one scrolls it all the way up.
