Clicking on an anchor link with the middle mouse button goes to the anchor target

To reproduce, go to:

http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtextcursor.html#details

Middle-click on the link to position(). It should open that link in a new tab, and it does, but it also goes to the link target on the current page, which defeats the purpose of opening the link in a separate tab.
