Hebrew text is laid out right-to-left, even when left-to-right layout set

      In all the Qt versions from 4.0.0 up to 4.7.0, Hebrew text was left-aligned in a QLabel and QTextEdit when it started the document if the widget was set to left-to-right. Starting in 4.7.0 the text is right aligned even when I explicitly call setLayoutDirection(Qt::LeftToRight); on the widget (or application).
