make authentication possible without stalling QNetworkAccessManager

      currently, the signal QNetworkAccessManager::authenticationRequired() passes a pointer to a QAuthenticator, which needs to be filled in in a slot connected to the signal. The QNetworkAccessManager will stall until the slot connected to that signal returns.
