      Overview:

      Biometric

      Android 11 provides several improvements to biometric authentication. These changes also appear in the Jetpack Biometric library.

      • Authentication types
      • Determine which authentication type was used
      • Additional support for auth-per-use key
      • Secure sharing of large datasets
      • Perform file-based encryption after an OTA restart without user credentials
