Mouse-wheel scrolling stops working when mouse is disconnected and reconnected

    Description

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. connect a mouse
      2. launch a Qt 6 application (I tried qttools/src/qev to be sure, but it also happens with Qt Creator)
      3. disconnect the mouse
      4. reconnect the mouse
      5. attempt to scroll

      Expected results

      Scrolling still works. It does on Qt 5 and non-Qt applications.

      Actual results

      Scrolling stops working. Other mouse actions (as far as I can tell) continued working. This does not happen i the mouse is first connected while the application is running. Only when the mouse is disconnected and reconnected while it's running.
