Diff editor should emit directory of the repo he is in

      Diff editor (in git diff) currently does not emit anything for it's current directory. that means if he is active, and you want to do commit or amend, you get freeze or something else that is also not correct.

      IMO diff editor should emit current directory of the repo he is executed from.
