Horizontally scroll file system view to an item when it is selected

    Description

      Currently horizontal scrolling needs to be done manually. That can be fine with a touch pad, but not so easy with common mice.
      It might make sense to at least partially scroll horizontally to make sure an item visually starts within the left 1/4 of the view or so.

      This might also be interesting for the Projects view.
