Qt Creator 4.5.0

Windows 7 64-bit, core i5, 8GB RAM, qt 5.10, qt creator 4.5.0 (32 and 64-bit)
Description
I previously have had no issues using Qt Creator for years, however today I've tried to run qt creator and the process starts, nothing appears and seconds later the process vanishes. I've then cleared out the "%appdata%\roaming\Qt Creator" directory but that hasn't fixed it, so I've manually downloaded and tried both the 32 and 64-bit versions of qt creator standalone 4.5.0 installed in different directories and I'm getting the exact same issue. Process starts, moments later it vanishes from the process list - no window ever appears. It's not re-creating the qt creator folder either in the roaming folder so I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to figure out what's causing this issue or what to look into for debugging without building qt creator from scratch.
This version was working before today.
