Description
when you enable the "visualize whitespace" option and open a file for which no syntax highlighting rules exist (say, a file named TODO), the visualized whitespace will be shown in the regular text color, which seriously impairs legibility.
i suppose the fix is to instantiate a "dummy" syntax highlighter in this case.
