Qt Creator 4.11.1

Description
I use a terminal/shell for lots of stuff while using Qt Creator including most git operations. That's how I like it. When a file that is open in Creator is modified from the outside, e.g as a result of a git operation, Creator puts up a dialog asking me what I want to do about the modified files when it receives focus again. Now the annoying thing is that I typically focus Creator with Alt-Tab and immediately start typing and it happens daily that my keyboard input is interpreted as shortcuts for the popup dialog and it closes and I have no idea what I just inadvertently told Creator to do.
It would be so great if Qt Creator could either be told to ignore my keyboard input when displaying this dialog or maybe popup the dialog immediately rather than delaying it? I'm not sure what the best medicine is, but the current behaviour is causing me grief daily.
