Description
Could you please remove this annoying fall-back mechanism in QtCreator that it scans the project folder if CMake configuration fails? I am working with complex projects where vcpkg is a git submodule inside the project folder. Everytime my CMake configuration fails, the QtCreator GUI is blocked by the fall-back scan process for a very long time. Aborting works sometimes, but only after waiting half a minute or so. Sometimes it blocks the QtCreator GUI completely.
Please remove that functionality or at least, give me a chance to switch it off. It makes working with QtCreator very annoying.
This bug was reported earlier in https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG-27499, but the situation has only improved very little since then. At least it doesn't crash anymore.
