The target selector icon has an overlay for the device state (connected, disconnected, ...). That doesn't seem to update when the device setting in the kit is changed.

I just saw that when my kits had no device set at all (because of a different issue). In that state I had a red ball in the target selector icon which didn't vanish when I selected "run locally" for the kit.
