why can't I install to C:\Program Files\Qt? it has a space... what's the problem? Anyway, about translating better,

It should read:

Bitte geben Sie das Verzeichnis an, in dem Qt installiert werden soll.

Der Installationspfad darf keine Leerzeichen " " enthalten.

the second part can be omitted, if you want it. here you go.  (Bitte geben Sie ein gültiges Verzeichnis an.)
