Description
I regularly run into build errors when cross-building newer Qt versions, even if I test the alphas/betas before. This is more or less a follow-up on the suggestions of QTBUG-57255 to put it in the proper component. I suggest the following new build modes to be added to the CI:
- a build without gui enabled (see
QTBUG-36893,QTBUG-39118,QTBUG-55385,QTBUG-57255,QTBUG-60045,QTBUG-60062) - a build with gui but without widgets (
QTBUG-63908) - a build with gui and widget, but without declarative (
QTBUG-48498) - a build with gui+widgets, no no OpenGL (
QTBUG-41200,QTBUG-46839,QTBUG-60881,QTBUG-61087,QTBUG-61311) - a cross-build, preferably a big-endian one (
QTBUG-37324,QTBUG-67983). Ideally the host has only the minimum set of own tools installed (e.g. no host libpng and similar, see QTBUG-68090). Bonus points if the host compiler is the oldest version supported (QTBUG-53017).
